Job Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Data Science Director to spearhead our data science efforts. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage a team of data scientists, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to drive project success and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
  2. Define and prioritize data science projects in alignment with business goals, identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization that drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  3. Collaborate with business leaders, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data science initiatives that drive informed decision-making.
  4. Design and implement end-to-end data science solutions, including data collection, preprocessing, modeling, evaluation, and deployment, leveraging advanced machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, and data mining algorithms to extract insights and drive decision-making.
  5. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and incorporate them into our practices to ensure we remain at the forefront of innovation.
  6. Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders through clear and compelling presentations, reports, and visualizations that facilitate informed decision-making.
  7. Collaborate with data engineers and IT professionals to optimize data pipelines, infrastructure, and deployment processes, ensuring seamless integration and efficient operation of our data-driven systems.
  8. Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the data science team, promoting knowledge sharing, professional development, and a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements:

  • A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related roles, with demonstrated leadership experience and a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex data science projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive innovation, and excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and accountability, and strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change, championing data-driven decision-making across the organization, and a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
