Job Summary

The Cloud Native Lead - Public Cloud role is a prestigious position within the Cloud organization at Getronics. The business unit is responsible for maintaining and providing excellent cloud services to customers. The cloud organization works on bid management, pre-sales, solution, service architecting, and support/execution of complex engagements.

Key Responsibilities

As a Cloud Native Lead - Public Cloud, you will be responsible for ensuring the best architecture and support are provided to the customer on behalf of Getronics. You will also be the technical & people POC for the Public Cloud Delivery team customer engagements. This role will be responsible for supporting the transition phase of existing or new customers.

Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing the KMAP of the team and creating an upskill / training plan
• Reviewing and updating of Project specific documentation
• Planning and guiding the team in managing day-to-day activities
• Assisting in technology decision-making and proposing the best solution to the client for the capabilities/solutions we have during deal solution conversations
• Defining and leading overall software development and strategies ensuring software fully meets business, technical, and operational requirements
• Providing technical oversight while writing new software, making modifications to existing software, or integrating software applications and modules in accordance with agreed-upon specifications, often created by leadership
• Exploring design options and leading the creation of design and ensuring business and technical requirements are met
• Acting as a point of contact or a subject matter expert for Training Systems related technical capabilities
• Assisting in the identification and implementation of short-term and long-term solution options, including risk assessments, and recommendations to business and technology leadership
• Coordinating and supporting related groups, such as but not limited to internal/customer Product Managers, Content teams, quality assurance teams, support teams or operations/deployment teams
• Providing technical guidance in the area of subject matter expertise by possessing in-depth knowledge of cloud-native application development
• Ensuring self and team develop software using disciplined software development processes, adhering to team/company standards and software best practice guidelines, and corporate policies.
• Cloud Technologies: Providing insights into different cloud services like serverless computing, containerization, virtualization, and storage when needed by the team of Cloud Native Specialists
• Containerization Technologies: Providing insights on containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. This includes knowledge of container orchestration and management, container networking, and security.
• DevOps: Maintaining the DevOps culture and sharing the understanding of the principles of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) to the team
• Ensuring the team is proficient in source control management, build automation, and release management
• Programming Languages: Using Programming experience in languages such as Java, Python, Go, and others along with knowledge of different frameworks and libraries to assist team members in need of help with live engagements
• Microservices Architecture: Bringing knowledge of microservices architecture, including API design, service discovery, and load balancing to customer engagements
• Automation: Assisting team members in automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Chef where needed
• Researching and identifying standards and best practices as appropriate
• Providing the team technical direction(s)/approach(es) to be undertaken and guiding them in the resolution of queries/issues etc.
• Attending/driving various architectural, design, and status calls with multiple stakeholders
• Ensuring end-to-end ownership of all tasks is aligned
• Testing implementation, troubleshooting & correcting problems
• Capable of working as an individual contributor and within a team too
• Conducting technical training(s)/session(s), writing whitepapers/case studies/blogs etc
Required Technical Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:
• More than 10+ years of experience which can include IT Applications, Cloud and Data areas
• Minimum of 3 years experience managing a team containing a mix of traditional development and Cloud Native development skills
• Strong analytic skills related to working with large pieces of code
• A successful history of building, delivering applications, and managing teams that contribute to delivering applications using cloud-native technologies
• Agile/Scrum methodology experience is required
• Experience in Web architecture, Git and GitHub, HTTP and REST, and JavaScript packages
• Knowledge of database systems and SQ, database technologies, and frameworks (JSON, Angular, and React)
• Experience in Containerization, DevOps, Microservices Architecture and Automation
• Good working knowledge of Requirement gathering and analysis
• Hands-on experience with any of the Cloud (AWS/Azure)
• Passionate about exploring new technologies
• Good Communication Skills
• Knowledgeable in tools such as Microsoft Agile, JIRA, Confluence, or ServiceNow is preferred
• Microservices & Cloud Native Architecture exposure is a plus
• Experience or Knowledge of cloud migration projects that involved Cloud Native technology usage as per Gartner 6Rs
• Expertise in preparing Proposal/SOW will be good to have
• Agile certifications (SAFE/PMI)
• ITIL methodologies will be good to have
• Bachelor/Masters Degree from a reputed institute
