Job Title: Senior Automation QA Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation QA Engineer to join our Strategy and Technology Group (STG) at Aon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing solutions to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated testing solutions using modern frameworks and technologies.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, testers, and product owners to identify scope for automated testing.
  • Analyze existing systems and write acceptance criteria, including test scenarios using Gherkin syntax.
  • Support software engineers during development and testing phases.
  • Review unit tests implemented by software developers and implement unit testing improvements.
  • Build useful tools and frameworks to aid continuous development and continuous delivery.
  • Debug issues to identify root cause and use it to improve test coverage.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years' experience of testing automation for n-tier Web solutions based on modern frameworks, preferably Angular.
  • 5+ years' experience of testing automation using BDD with Cypress, Angular 2+, TypeScript, and Cucumber.
  • Load and stress testing.
  • RESTful service testing.
  • HTML 5, CSS 3.
  • Solid understanding of software development concepts, including best practices and software design patterns.
  • Git with GitFlow.
  • Microsoft Visual Studio and VS Code.
  • Working in teams using Agile delivery methodology, regularly collaborating with other members of the team.

Good to Have:

  • Experience using C#, .NET Core, and Web API 2+.
  • Configuring Azure Pipelines (CI/CD) to automate execution of automated tests.
  • Automating tests for Web systems using Angular with TypeScript, .NET, and Microsoft SQL databases.
  • Using JMeter and Blazemeter (or similar) to implement and execute load and performance tests.
  • Using cloud hosting providers like Azure or AWS to support automated testing.
