Job Opportunity: Learning and Development Specialist

We seek a skilled Learning and Development Specialist to drive our organizational learning initiatives. This role involves collaborating closely with key stakeholders to identify learning needs, develop targeted learning solutions, and measure their effectiveness and ROI.

The ideal candidate will be adept at creating impactful learning experiences, facilitating training programs, and building a pipeline of internal facilitators through Train the Trainer programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scoping Learning Requirements:
    • Collaborate with department heads, business leaders, and Employee Engagement partners to understand and identify learning needs within the organization.
    • Conduct detailed needs assessments to determine skill gaps and prioritize learning initiatives that support business objectives and enhance employee performance.
  • Creating Learning Content and Experiences:
    • Design and develop comprehensive learning programs, including e-learning modules, workshops, and blended learning solutions tailored to the specific needs of the business.
    • Ensure learning content is engaging, interactive, and applicable to real-world scenarios in product development.
  • Measuring Training Effectiveness and ROI:
    • Develop and implement metrics to track the effectiveness of training programs and their impact on business performance.
    • Conduct regular analysis of training data to determine the ROI of learning initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
    • Presentation of insights and recommendations to senior management based on training outcomes and effectiveness.
  • In-Person and Classroom Facilitation:
    • Facilitate in-person and classroom training sessions, ensuring an interactive and conducive learning environment that caters to different learning styles.
  • Leading Train the Trainer Programs:
    • Design and deliver Train the Trainer programs to build a pipeline of internal facilitators, including business leaders and subject matter experts.
    • Provide coaching and mentorship to internal trainers to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of learning programs.
  • Developing Assessment Tools:
    • Develop and implement robust assessment tools to measure learning outcomes and the effectiveness of training programs.
    • Utilize various evaluation methods, such as quizzes, tests, simulations, and practical assessments, to accurately gauge learner progress and program impact.

Requirements and Benefits

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
5-7 years of experience in learning and development, with a focus on instructional design, content creation, and training facilitation.
Strong facilitation skills with experience in delivering in-person and classroom training sessions.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple learning initiatives simultaneously.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure training effectiveness and ROI.
Experience in conducting Train the Trainer programs and developing internal facilitators.
Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
