Our organization seeks a highly motivated Project Associate to work on implementing road safety, green mobility, and low emission zones in Indian cities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and operationalize a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) framework tailored for Mathura city.
  1. Conduct baseline assessment of vehicular and industrial emissions in the city.
  2. Identify vehicle categories, emission thresholds, and compliance strategies for the LEZ.
  3. Propose monitoring mechanisms including use of Vahan data, ANPR, on-ground enforcement.
  4. Assess and recommend sustainable mobility solutions EV adoption pathways, public transport electrification, NMT integration, and multimodal connectivity.
  5. Support roadmap preparation for EV integration across municipal transport operations buses, freight, paratransit.
  6. Propose policies for encouraging clean fuels, scrappage of end-of-life vehicles, and charging infrastructure development.
  7. Work with municipal corporation UPPCB Pollution Control Board RTO traffic police, and state EV cell.
  8. Conduct consultations with local businesses, citizen groups, and transport operators to ensure smooth LEZ implementation.
  9. Support awareness and capacity-building activities.
Road Safety Placemaking Streetscaping and Capacity Building:
  • Design Analysis and Project Development Understand site-specific urban challenges and create or support viable design strategies and proposals for their resolution.
  1. Tactical Urbanism Collaborate with the team to implement temporary design changes tactical urbanism trials to test improvements and gather feedback.
  • Training and Development Conduct internal and external workshops to raise awareness and build capacity on street design and road safety principles.
  1. Reporting and Communication Prepare regular progress reports summarizing program activities and achievements.
  • Creative Development Create visual aids like posters and presentations for training programs and community engagement initiatives.
Community Engagement and Outreach:
  • Raahgiri Days Assist the team in organizing Raahgiri Days and other public awareness campaigns that promote street design for improved sustainability safety and community interaction.
