SG OASIS HR CONSULTANCY PVT LTD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDP / Sous Chef - Bread/ Pastry to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Executive Head Chef in planning and managing food budgets and forecasts for the Bakery Kitchen.
- Coordinate the work of chefs to ensure timely and budget-friendly food preparation.
- Lead and develop a team of chefs and assistants, providing training, coaching, and guidance to ensure high-quality pastry production.
- Design and develop detailed food specifications, ensuring consistency and quality in all pastry goods.
- Uphold departmental standards of quality and timing for delivery, ensuring seamless operations.
- Train and educate chefs and assistants on relevant aspects of pastry production, including techniques and recipes.
- Collaborate with the Executive Head Chef to develop standard recipes and techniques for goods preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency and high quality.
- Assist in the ordering of food ingredients, ensuring compliance with product specifications.
- Participate in all stock inventories, ensuring accurate records and efficient operations.
- Manage and maintain standard work practices and standard operating procedures for all equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is correctly used, cleaned, and maintained, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
- Attend management meetings on behalf of the team, providing updates and insights on departmental performance.
- Liaise with the Executive Head Chef on customer satisfaction, ensuring continuous improvement and excellence in service.
- Manage relationships with ingredient suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality ingredients.
- Interact positively with employees and managers in other departments, fostering good interdepartmental communication and collaboration.
- Manage all HACCP requirements, adhering to company procedures and government regulations.
- Ensure a safe workplace by identifying hazards and taking corrective action, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- 6-8 years of experience in Bakery/Bread, with a strong background in pastry production.
- A true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast-paced customer service environment.
- Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner.
- Strong training and communication skills.
- BHM/Culinary education preferred.
