About the Role

At Gameskraft, we are seeking a talented Senior UI/UX Experience Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for designing and implementing intuitive and visually stunning user interfaces and experiences for our interactive projects.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating engaging user experiences, with expertise in Unreal Engine and Figma. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, user needs, and technical constraints, iterating on designs based on feedback and testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and prototype user interfaces and experiences for various interactive projects, ensuring consistency, clarity, and user-friendliness across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with design, art, and programming teams to understand project requirements, user needs, and technical constraints, iterating on designs based on feedback and testing.
  • Create high-fidelity mockups, wireframes, and visual assets using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools, applying principles of design and composition to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal and usability of the user interface.
  • Work closely with developers to implement UI/UX designs within Unreal Engine, ensuring seamless integration and functionality across different devices and resolutions.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback from target audiences to identify areas for improvement and refine UI/UX designs iteratively, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Document UI/UX design guidelines, patterns, and best practices to maintain consistency and facilitate knowledge sharing among team members, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UI/UX design, Unreal Engine development, and Figma usage, actively seeking out opportunities for skill development and innovation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Artist or Designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in user interface design, user experience principles, and visual communication, particularly within interactive media or gaming environments.
  • Expertise in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar, as well as proficiency in Unreal Engine's UI/UX development tools and blueprints.
  • Strong creative and artistic abilities, with a keen eye for detail, typography, color theory, and composition, coupled with a passion for pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling and user experience design.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas, concepts, and feedback to cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing design challenges and usability issues, employing creative solutions to deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with motion graphics and animation techniques.
  • Knowledge of user interface design principles for VR/AR applications.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Previous experience working on AAA game titles or equivalent interactive projects.

Gameskraft offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
