Data Engineering Lead with ETL Expertise

About the Role:

At Tekskills Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex data pipelines that clean, process, and harmonize data from varied sources.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL design and development, advanced SQL skills, and experience working with cloud frameworks and solutions. They will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements and company standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Dell Boomi, or Databricks
  • Develop and implement advanced SQL computations and transformations
  • Automate, monitor, and ensure uptime of production data pipelines and integrations
  • Troubleshoot and remediate performance and data quality issues
  • Configure reusable connections to various data sources
  • Collaborate with analysts and business teams to design data models and solutions
  • Maintain version control for databases and code using source control tools

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of ETL and data pipeline development experience
  • Advanced SQL programming language skills
  • Experience with databases and database objects (SQL Server, SQL DDL)
  • Understanding of connectors and data sources (e.g., flat files, web APIs, SFTP, databases)
  • Familiarity with cloud frameworks and solutions (Azure Storage, Azure SQL, PaaS)
  • Familiarity with providing data to BI visualization tools (Power BI)
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong planning, organization, and time management skills
