EssentiallySports is a leading digital media publication in the world of sports entertainment, with a strong focus on providing high-quality content to its millions of readers.

We are currently seeking an experienced Golf Content Editor: Enhanced Publishing Expert to join our editorial team. As a Golf Content Editor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our golf-related content.

The successful candidate will have a good grasp of the fundamentals of the English language, as well as a keen interest in golf or the ability to quickly pick up nuances of the sport. They will also be quick with fact-checking and enhancing the editorial quality of content.

This position requires a minimum of 6-12 months of experience in proofreading and/or content editing, with prior experience of leading a team of writers being an additional plus. The ideal candidate will have leadership qualities, be a good judge of character, and have a knack for people management.

As a remote working arrangement is available, flexible working hours can be accommodated. The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Actively edit and publish articles daily, ensuring timely publication for priority news-based articles.
  • Proofread articles to ensure no avoidable errors remain and check plagiarism before publishing.
  • Research to verify facts and eliminate incorrect claims.
  • Mentor and guide writers to refine their quality, output, and overall performance.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations of writers in the Golf division.
  • Undertake other key duties as instructed by the Editorial Team Lead.
