Strategic Development Manager

Gera Developments, a renowned developer with over 50 years of expertise, seeks an exceptional Strategic Development Manager to join their team. This key position involves leading project planning and scheduling initiatives, ensuring seamless collaboration between architects, engineers, and project managers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Scheduling:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project schedules, including timelines, milestones, and deadlines.
• Utilize project management software to create, update, and maintain project schedules.
2. Design Coordination:
• Work closely with design teams to ensure design specifications align with project timelines and resources.
• Review and analyze design documents to identify potential scheduling impacts.
• Facilitate communication between design teams and construction teams to address any issues or changes.
3. Resource Management:
• Identify and allocate necessary resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to meet project requirements.
• Monitor resource utilization and implement adjustments to optimize efficiency.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
4. Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
• Track project progress against the schedule, identifying any deviations or delays.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, issues, and solutions.
• Implement project management software and tools to streamline tracking and reporting processes.
5. Cost Control and Budget Management:
• Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial reporting.
• Monitor project expenditures and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
• Conduct regular financial reviews and forecasts to ensure the project stays within budget.
6. Risk Management:
• Identify potential project risks related to scheduling and resource allocation.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and disruptions.
• Ensure proactive communication of risks and issues to stakeholders.
7. Quality Assurance:
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
• Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with specifications and standards.
• Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
8. Project Handover and Closeout:
• Coordinate the final inspection and handover process, ensuring all project deliverables are met.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive project documentation, including as-built schedules and final reports.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (7+ years) as a Planning Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 annually, depending on experience.
