Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Planning Specialist to join our India Pressure Management Business unit at Emerson. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials to avoid factory operation delays or line stoppages. This critical role plays a vital part in driving growth platforms and supporting operational pillars while striving for long-term value creation.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Developing and implementing quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily production plans.
  • Preparing reports needed for business processes in collaboration with other departments.
  • Releasing planned orders to Production Requests.
  • Reviewing scheduled sales orders and providing promise dates by analyzing Available to Promise (ATP) output.
  • Coordinating and verifying production routings, preparing work orders based on Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Reviewing shortages for work orders and expediting the purchase team to arrange timely delivery.
  • Releasing work orders to the shop floor according to schedule.
  • Expediting the Warehouse for issuing work orders, shop, and QC/QA for timely delivery of products to ensure on-time delivery of valves to customers.
  • Reviewing planning when sales order specs, drawings, and BOMs are revised, which may result in adding or modifying materials in work orders and shop planning.
  • Maintaining planning files for sales orders from entry to last valve delivery.
  • Arranging subcontract work orders for items requiring Powder coating, Painting, Machining, and fabrication.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Engineering with relevant planning and scheduling experience and a total experience of 6-10 years.
  • A high level of integrity and trust.
  • A good command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Good communication, negotiation, and people management skills.
  • Basic finance and costing knowledge is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Management System, as well as Corporate Safety Management and Occupational Health Management requirements is preferred.
  • You must be a self-driven and self-motivated leader.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience with Oracle or any other ERP will be an added advantage.
