Engineering Manager Role at Persistent Systems

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineering Manager to lead and manage a newly formed team working on the SMB platform portfolio. This is an opportunity to grow a new team where you will plan and manage successful releases by working closely with our Product Management and internal/external stakeholders to identify requirements and priorities. You will be an active member of the engineering leadership team contributing to strategy, evaluating and reporting performance and trends, recommending improvements, building team ethos, and collaborating positively to develop and retain talent across the entire team.

### Job Description:
As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Software Engineers to deliver product features, inspiring and motivating team members to achieve maximum productivity and creativity, establishing and driving product release plans that satisfy requirements and priorities, providing ongoing communication of the release plan to the product team, assessing the cost, benefits, and risks of each development project, factoring in required architecture/engineering effort to build common components, applying agile principles for the timely incremental deliveries, monitoring team productivity, dynamics, and overall performance, anticipating, identifying, and resolving technical issues, supporting team members in their pursuit of career development paths and opportunities, championing the team's accomplishments with upper management and adjacent teams, and providing both high-level and low-level technical guidance on tasks as appropriate.

### Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need proven experience of building and managing high-performance software development teams, previous application design/architecture experience, hands-on development experience in Java Object Oriented technologies, experience of developing full-stack web applications, and additional experience with AWS, Kafka, and JavaScript frameworks would beneficial.

### Salary and Benefits Package:
The salary for this role is competitive, with a range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
