Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive SCADA and automation system designs, including hardware and software specifications, network configurations, and control strategies.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of SCADA and automation systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Integrate SCADA systems with other plant systems, such as PLC, DCS, and HMI, to achieve seamless operation.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to SCADA and automation systems, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs and conduct regular inspections to ensure the reliability and longevity of SCADA and automation equipment.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SCADA and automation systems, including design specifications, operating manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide training and support to plant personnel on the operation and maintenance of SCADA and automation systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SCADA and automation system design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Strong proficiency in SCADA software platforms (e.g., Wonder ware, Ignition, FactoryTalk).
  • In-depth knowledge of PLC and DCS systems.
  • Experience with network protocols (e.g., Ethernet, Mod bus, Profibus, OPC).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with latest industrial automation standards (e.g., ISA-95, IEC 62443).
  • Certification in SCADA or automation technologies.
  • Experience in Control Centre, utilities will be an added advantage.
