About this opportunity :

Our organization is seeking a seasoned automation testing professional with expertise in software QA methodologies and tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing using Python or similar programming/scripting languages.

The successful candidate will be proficient in at least one programming/scripting language such as Java, Python, or Shell, and will have experience working in Unix/Linux environments, including writing shell scripts and using Unix command-line tools.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop automated test scripts using Python or similar programming/scripting languages to ensure high-quality software releases.
  • Support the development of frameworks in Java (Maven) and JavaScript (Node.js), utilizing Excel for test data and JSON for object repositories.
  • Collaborate on REST API workflows, generating automated test cases, making JSON assertions, and implementing data encryption.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in automation testing with a strong background in software QA methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language such as Java, Python, or Shell.
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments, including writing shell scripts and using Unix command-line tools.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and advanced SQL skills.
  • Experience with RESTful API testing and tools like Postman, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Desirable Skills :

  • Experience with Python libraries such as Pytest, Unittest, or Behave.
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
  • Understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and services such as AWS or Azure.
