Job Summary

As a key member of the Marriott International team, the Assistant Manager of Purchasing will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and purchasing functions across various departments. This role requires a strong understanding of financial management, inventory control, and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in formulating and implementing purchasing strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Manage inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and maintain accurate records of purchases and receipts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for cost savings and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott International's purchasing policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
