About Us

Paytm is a leading digital payments and financial services company in India, driving consumers and merchants to its platform through various payment use cases.

We provide consumers with services like utility payments and money transfers, empowering them to pay via Paytm Payment Instruments (PPI) such as Paytm Wallet, Paytm UPI, Paytm Payments Bank Netbanking, Paytm FASTag, and Paytm Postpaid - Buy Now, Pay Later.

To merchants, we offer acquiring devices like Soundbox, EDC, QR, and Payment Gateway, where payment aggregation is done through PPI and other banks' financial instruments. To enhance merchants' businesses, we offer commerce services through advertising and the Paytm Mini app store.

About the Team

The QR/Soundbox team is one of the largest business and payments verticals in the organization, focused on merchant acquisition, retention, and growth in India.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced sales professional and people manager to join our QR & Sound Box vertical. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing distribution and market share in their assigned area of operations.

  • Visibility and accountability through extensive QR & Sound box deployment and sale of the product.
  • Identify and recruit sales teams to align and drive business in the market.
  • Monitor quality parameters as suggested by management.
  • Validate and conduct audits on acquisitions and sales done by the team.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should have good networking capabilities and be willing to travel extensively throughout their specified area. They should also possess skills in coaching and mentoring, be a quick learner, and grasp new ideas and concepts.

Superpowers/Skills
  • Self-starters who can take ownership and navigate ambiguity will be ideal fits.
  • 8-12 years of experience in sales - business development, B2C markets.
  • Possession of complex solutions to novice customers.
  • Good sales and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in quota-driven sales is a must.
  • Experience in payments and finance is a plus but not mandatory.
Education

An MBA in Marketing is preferred.
