Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert for Delivery Excellence to join our team at Microsoft.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing technical and professional capabilities of support staff, developing training plans to address identified gaps, and performing case reviews to ensure process compliance.

In addition, you will mentor engineers on effective collaboration and quality case handling standards, contribute to customer self-help initiatives, and analyze trends to provide product and process improvement feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Team Readiness & Development – assess technical and professional capabilities of support staff, develop training plans to address identified gaps, and implement training programs to enhance skills.
  • Case Management (Delivery Excellence) – perform case reviews to ensure process compliance, identify areas for improvement, and develop recommendations to enhance efficiency.
  • Managing Collaborative Activities – mentor engineers on effective collaboration, cross-team and cross-technologies/lines of business, and quality case handling standards.
  • Supportability Activities – contribute to customer self-help initiatives, volume deflection initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Process Improvement – analyze trends, collaborate with stakeholder teams, and provide product and process improvement feedback.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in IT or related field, with 2+ years of experience managing or mentoring individual contributors.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead people to achieve success.
  • Familiarity with Azure and/or competitive cloud products.
  • Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated at $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on location and experience. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for a range of benefits, including bonuses, stock options, and comprehensive health insurance.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position, and you will be required to work up to 50% from home. You will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience. Fluency in English is required, and preferred qualifications include proficiency in Azure technologies and previous experience as a member of one of the Azure Subscription Management and Billing Area.
