Senior Procurement Manager for Sustainability Innovation and Search

We're looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to support the identification of innovative initiatives, development, and implementation of high-value cross-functional projects to deliver Haleon's sustainability ambitions.
## Key Responsibilities
* Provide expertise and recommendations on alternative sustainable products and services, focusing on raw materials and services like logistics, to support our carbon net zero and wider sustainability goals.
* Collaborate with central sustainability and functions to identify innovation needs for sustainability and create briefs for suppliers and the market.
* Benchmark against peers on end-to-end sustainability initiatives.
* Partner closely with the global sustainability team and local business units to ground innovation initiatives and external trends.
* Establish a close relationship with R&D, Technical, Commercial, and Supply Chain to prioritize projects, align resources, and deliver against our sustainability ambition.
* Support the usage and future builds of the 'sustainability impact assessment tool' (SIAT) eco-design tool for creating more sustainable products.
* Communicate new ideas and proposals to all areas and levels of the business.
* Design the end-to-end process and ways of working to ensure innovation and sustainability are embedded into sourcing processes and supplier management.
* Project manage sustainability projects until transition to BU Category Teams for final implementation.
* Help shape the procurement category strategy of key high-impacting sustainability materials, supporting procurement category managers to identify alternative materials, suppliers, and embed them into longer-term purchasing strategies.
* Use this to share commercial strategies to form winning ideas through the procurement lens and apply a base understanding of other business priorities like cost, security of supply, and supplier capabilities.
* Manage and develop effective standard project tracking and reporting processes suitable for reporting at various management levels (Time / KPIs / Benefit / Quality).
* Support the wider sustainability team on supplier performance management, linking innovation and sustainability into sourcing criteria as required.
## Qualifications & Skills
* University degree (or equivalent) in a relative field (Science or Technical).
* 10-12 years of total procurement experience.
* At least 4 years in procurement experience managing categories like Packaging, Ingredients/Raw Materials & Logistics.
* Work experience in sustainability-related topics.
* Managing global projects would be an advantage.
* Demonstrated experience in navigating organizational complexity, collaborating with multiple teams, influencing without authority, handling escalations, and associated business impact.
* Good understanding of market drivers affecting categories; strong commitment to keeping abreast of trends.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills – fluent English.
* FMCG experience is preferable.
