About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Holistic Wellness Specialist to lead our wellness initiative. This unique role will focus on developing and implementing comprehensive wellness programs that integrate physical fitness, mental health, and cultural practices to promote overall health and balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and lead group wellness sessions that include yoga, dance, Zumba, and cultural activities promoting physical fitness, mental health, and cultural awareness.
- Create personalized wellness plans based on the specific needs of our employees, focusing on mental well-being, physical fitness, and nutritional health.
- Instruct yoga sessions incorporating different styles, meditation techniques, and breathing exercises to promote mental clarity, flexibility, and stress reduction.
- Integrate culturally significant activities like traditional dances, mindfulness rituals, and wellness practices from around the world to enhance mental well-being and community connection.
- Offer basic nutrition tips and support, encouraging healthy eating habits and incorporating culturally diverse, nutritious food practices into the wellness program.
- Promote mental health practices through mindfulness, stress management workshops, and group discussions to improve emotional resilience and mental well-being.
- Monitor progress and track the well-being of individuals and groups, making adjustments to programs as necessary to ensure maximum impact and satisfaction.
Requirements:
Experience & Certification:
- At least 5 years of experience teaching wellness activities such as yoga, dance, Zumba, or other physical fitness routines, ideally in corporate or community settings.
- Certification in yoga or fitness training from a recognized program. Additional certifications in nutrition, cultural wellness practices, or mental health support are a plus.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of yoga philosophy, anatomy, and alignment principles.
- Ability to design inclusive and culturally diverse wellness programs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate individuals at all fitness levels.
- Ability to integrate various fitness and mental health practices in a way that resonates with a diverse team.
