Data Transformation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our data engineering team as a Data Transformation Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating the data extracted from various sources, ensuring it is transformed correctly, and loaded into the target systems as per business requirements.

Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating the data extracted from various sources, ensuring it is transformed correctly, and loaded into the target systems as per business requirements. Key responsibilities include ETL process validation, test planning, data quality assurance, automation, performance testing, defect management, collaboration, and documentation.
Required Skills:
Technical skills: Proficient in SQL for data verification and validation, experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Apache Nifi, etc.), familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools, understanding of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL), knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices, experience with data profiling and data quality tools, and familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP).
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, 6+ years of experience in ETL testing or data quality assurance, experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred, certification in data management or testing (e.g., ISTQB, CDMP) is a plus, familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Soft skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work well in a team environment, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to adapt to new technologies and changing requirements, good time management and prioritization skills.
