Digital Capability, on the other hand, focuses on the growth and development of individuals within a specific expertise area. This dual structure enables us to scale agile practices efficiently while maintaining a focus on both product development and individual skill enhancement.

A Solution Architect will possess an in-depth, cross-domain, knowledge expertise on business applications, capabilities, and processes, enabling them to design, implement, and contribute innovative solutions that optimize DigitalX design architecture landscape. In addition, Solution architects will take a wide range of responsibilities, including leading collaboration with stakeholders, analyzing functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring consistency design standards, providing technology recommendations, creating solution prototypes, and managing epic story constraints like cost, quality, scope, and resources, all while assisting the project leads in estimating costs, resources, and timelines, and remaining involved throughout the epics lifecycle. You will be at the forefront of implementing innovative solutions and will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in your field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design comprehensive application solutions that address business needs and challenges. This involves creating architectural designs that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms for application development projects, considering factors such as performance, scalability, security, and integration capabilities.
  • Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and Digital teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Ensure that the proposed solutions align with the organization's strategic goals and technology standards.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the development life cycle, from initial concept through to implementation and support. Guide development teams to ensure adherence to architectural designs and best practices.
  • Design and oversee the integration of new applications with existing systems and software, ensuring seamless operation and data consistency across the enterprise.
  • Ensure application solutions are optimized for performance and user experience. Conduct system performance analysis and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure application architectures comply with relevant regulations and standards. Incorporate security measures into the design to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Create detailed documentation for application architectures, including design specifications, integration patterns, and deployment guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with team members within the subdivision and across other digital and business units.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in a specific area of expertise.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and approaches to enhance project outcomes and digital capabilities.
  • Regularly report on initiative progress and outcomes/value to your Capability Lead and team members.
  • Employ analytical and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and deliver effective solutions.
  • Ensure the highest quality and consistency in the work delivered.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Marketing.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of demonstrated relevant experience in Pharma R&D Space (Clinical operations preferred).
  • Direct experience implementing/consulting on known Life Sciences technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in specific area of digital capability. (Veeva R&D Vault)
  • Experience with Veeva configuration and implementation.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong background in software development with expertise in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, .NET, Python), databases/data lakes, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Architectural Knowledge: Deep understanding of architectural principles and design patterns, microservices, API design, and development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps).
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex business processes and associated datasets and create optimal technology solutions. Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges during the project lifecycle.
  • Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and lead development teams. Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Continuous Learning: A commitment to staying current with emerging technologies, programming languages, and industry best practices.
  • Certifications in specific technologies, architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), Agile delivery methodologies (e.g., SAFe) can be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Software Validation processes and requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
