About the Role

This is a full-time on-site position for an Operations Manager at Tortoise Livelihood Private Limited in Jaipur. As an Operational Excellence Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure efficiency and quality, and optimize processes to enhance customer satisfaction and business performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement company strategic plans and ensure brand standards are followed.
  • Drive brand/business values (5 Silas) and philosophy through all training and development activities.
  • Ensure financial targets are met and drive the business to increase profits.
  • Review working practices to ascertain if they are successful and devise alternative solutions if needed.
  • Prepare and submit an annual operational budget and effectively manage within this budget.
  • Report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning, commitment to quality.
  • Establish and monitor manager performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance evaluations, and administer salary adjustments.
  • Mentor and develop managers using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; monitor and evaluate results.
  • Develop and implement training programs and retreats to expand the capacity of all managers and staff.
  • Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development.
  • Direct Asset & Equipment maintenance, physical stock audit, and operation excellence audit.
  • Ensure outlet stock is properly managed for smooth operations.
  • Conceptualize new menu/products and promotion activities to improve sales and increase walk-ins.
  • Investigate guest satisfaction, handle guest complaints, and report any issues.
  • Work with Finance and Kitchen to manage cost and wastage.
  • Organize department meetings to assign work and discuss resolutions for issues.
  • Conduct periodical competitor watch for new Food trends.
  • Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy.
  • Ensure operation standards, policies, and procedures are followed by outlet staff.
  • Suggestively sell menu items and train upselling skills to outlet staff.
  • Keep the team informed of MTD sales and target and motivate staff to exceed sales goals.
  • Input and access information into ERP systems.
  • Understand particular characteristics and description of every menu item, preparation method/time, ingredients, sauces, portion sizes, garnishes, presentation, and prices.
  • Complete requisitions to replenish shortages or additional items needed for the anticipated business.
  • Ensure that all materials, equipment, and products are in complete readiness for service.
  • Constantly monitor staff performance in all phases of service and job function and report to Area Leaders.
  • Check and ensure all cashiering procedures are processed in compliance with Finance Department standards.
  • Conduct scheduled physical inventories checks.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings with staff and review all information pertinent to the day's business.


Industry and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have prior experience working in the hospitality industry or related field. You should possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or relevant field is required.


Salary Information

We offer an attractive salary of ₹800,000 - ₹1,200,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, along with benefits and opportunities for growth and professional development.
