About the Role

We are seeking an experienced International Business Development Manager to lead our sales efforts globally. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key accounts, identifying new opportunities, developing tailored sales strategies, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring compliance to support the expansion of Godrej Industries' Chemicals product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Growth and Market Expansion:
    • Enhance revenue, profit, and market share with existing and new business accounts through strategic planning
    • Develop prospective areas and new market channel partners to achieve consistent business growth
  • Networking, Relationship Building, and Stakeholder Management:
    • Actively network to establish key relationships and identify new opportunities in the biotech business
    • Develop close relationships with internal stakeholders, local sales teams, and represent customer needs to ensure effective communication and follow-up on technical/commercial proposals and contracts
  • Business Development Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and maintain a structured business development plan with frequent account visits, active participation in tradeshows, and assistance in marketing activities
    • Prepare individual business development action plans aligned with the business strategy, ensuring a targeted approach that contributes to overall business growth
  • Sales Strategy and Market Monitoring:
    • Develop account-specific sales strategies for global key accounts to achieve defined business targets
    • Monitor the global chemical biotech market to identify trends and tailor sales approaches to current and future client needs
  • Customer Engagement and Opportunity Maximisation:
    • Act as the focal point for customer inquiries, ensuring professional responses and maximising opportunities by identifying and following up on sales leads
    • Actively follow up on all commercial proposals, conduct client presentations, negotiate, and close business deals
  • Compliance and Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the regulatory team to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for cross-border movements and imports
    • Collaborate with the R&D Application team for new product/application initiatives and maintain business development databases, including the Sales Pipeline
  • Legal Agreement Management:
    • Ensure global legal agreements are finalised, signed, and archived appropriately between Godrej Chemicals and the client

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in sales, business development, and international trade. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence without authority. A graduate or postgraduate degree in chemicals is preferred, along with over 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
