Data Governance Specialist

At ESAB, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our organization's Master Data Management (MDM) processes, ensuring the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of master data across multiple systems. This position requires strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Master data by company policies and procedures.
  • Manage the Master data lifecycle, including Supplier/Customer onboarding, updates, and maintenance.
  • Maintain Vendor, Customer & Product accounts accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Review and verify relevant documentation, including Contact details, payment terms, tax forms, and certifications.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather necessary information for Product, Vendor/Customer setup, and maintenance.
  • Conduct regular audits of Master data to identify and rectify inaccuracies, inconsistencies, or discrepancies.
  • Respond to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Manager, Sourcing, Finance, and other departments) to streamline vendor management processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the resolution of MDM-related issues, including Cost missing, payment discrepancies, and account reconciliations.
  • Conduct appropriate scanning and assessments in the Compliance Portal before processing into ERPs.

Qualifications/ Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in any stream, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in Vendor Management, Data Management, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of Master data concepts and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience working with ERP systems (e.g., M3 Infor, SAP, JDE / J.D. Edwards).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in automation tools and techniques such as SQL, Power Query, VBA, etc., to streamline data management processes and enhance efficiency.
