Disease Surveillance Specialist

The role of Epidemiologist at Novo Nordisk A/S plays a pivotal part in shaping the scientific communication strategy, driving scientific recruitment and retention activities, and establishing relationships with key stakeholders.
About the DepartmentGlobal Medical Affairs, Bengaluru (GMA BLR) is an extension of the Global Medical Affairs unit in Headquarters (HQ) in Denmark and is based out of Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore, India. The 'Real-World Evidence' team consists of highly motivated and experienced global project managers, medical advisors, scientific advisors, medical writers and biostatisticians who cross-functionally work with global teams and medical affairs directors based out of Zurich, Switzerland and all regions and affiliates.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting epidemiological research and analysis.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing input to clinical trial plans and real-world evidence (RWE) plans.
- Identifying and establishing relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Offering scientific expertise and guidance.
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Epidemiology or a related field and at least 3-5 years of experience in epidemiological research or analysis. Strong knowledge of clinical trial design and execution, experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with KOLs and International Professional Associations (IPAs), proficiency in scientific communication and publication strategy development, and familiarity with medical education and training for healthcare professionals are essential qualifications.
Expected SalaryThe estimated annual salary for this position is around $120,000 - $180,000, depending on qualifications and location. This compensation package reflects the company's commitment to attracting and retaining top talent in the field of epidemiology.
