About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Procurement Strategist - Supply Chain Management to lead our procurement efforts and maintain all physical assets within the organization. This critical role demands strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain management and asset optimization.

The ideal candidate will ensure that our operational needs are met while adhering to budgetary constraints and upholding the highest standards of efficiency and quality. Having experience in the Food Services Industry is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and products, evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, service, and reliability.
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing, monitor supplier performance, and address any issues that arise.
  • Cost Management: Develop and manage procurement budgets, implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality, monitor and report on procurement expenditure.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all procurement policies and procedures, identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, stay updated on legal and regulatory changes impacting procurement.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-6 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a managerial role from a food industry (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain management principles, specifically related to the food industry.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Strong team management abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is ₹850,000 - ₹1,200,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
