Job Description:

We are recruiting experienced individuals to fill our current vacancy for a Senior Engineer (Instrumentation & Control) to work on water and wastewater projects in the US region from our Design Centers in India.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects or components of projects for Water Instrumentation & Controls teams.
  • Prepare technical documentation for instrumentation and systems requisitions and perform technical evaluations.
  • Review and prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Review and prepare Instrument Index, IO List, Cable Schedule, Junction Box Schedule, Cable Block Diagram review and cable sizing.
  • Review and prepare Instrument Datasheet.
  • Review and prepare Instrument Inter-connection schedule, Loop Wiring Diagram, Instrument Installation drawings (Hookups) and Instrument Material Take Off (MTO).
  • Prepare vendor documents and specifications.
  • Lead a team on various projects in line with client requirements.
  • Provide design input to CAD/BIM and coordinate with BIM/CAD staff for preparation of drawings.
  • Design and management knowledge with using BIM, Revit, Plant 3D, Instrucal design software.
  • Manage production and verification of analysis and design, including drawings and reports, asset management relating to projects.
  • Prepare control schematics and block logic diagrams for PLC.
  • Prepare and review Network Architecture drawings, well-versed with various DCS/PLC/SCADA manufacturer models like ABB, Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell.
  • Take responsibility for Quality Assurance and client feedback and ensure effective communication of any changes/modifications.
  • Proactively engage with various Arcadis Regional offices/teams regarding safe design requirements and flag risks at appropriate levels. Resolve issues and create strong relationships with project colleagues in regions, evidenced through great feedback.
  • Develop technical methodologies that add value to the scope from other Arcadis Regions and guide junior colleagues in delivering quality documents/drawings.
  • Review and ensure compliance in the components of the project for which responsible, including drawings, reports, specifications, and studies.
  • Review work and drive the culture of checking and accountability in the team, including interdisciplinary checks (IDCs).
  • Work in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
  • Provide technical advice to project team members.
  • Handle multiple management responsibilities, overseeing the work and/or development of multiple colleagues working on complex projects in a single discipline.
  • Design Health & Safety management for project works.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.E/B.Tech in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from a recognized University. Post-Graduation will be an added advantage.
  • 8-12 years relevant experience in design of Instrumentation and Control systems associated with the Water & Wastewater industry.
  • Registered or accredited professional with Professional Institutions will be a plus.

Required Competencies:

  • Familiar with American standards, BS codes, ISA, IEC, NEMA, UL standards.
  • Sound technical knowledge, academically good.
  • Strong command of AutoCAD/BIM/digital/data analytics software as applicable.
  • Proven design experience: including concept, preliminary, detailed, construction phases.
  • Excellent Communication Skills, both written and verbal.
  • Work experience in North America will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Experience of delivering designs and reports at all stages from concept through to final project and construction delivery.

Estimated Salary Range:$100,000 - $150,000 per annum
