Position Summary

BOT VFX, a global postproduction services company in the entertainment industry, seeks a Senior Software Tester for a permanent role. This position involves planning and executing the entire testing process for a Web Application, coordinating with Product Manager, Business Analyst, and Developer to spearhead the overall testing process and defect-free release cycles.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop a comprehensive test strategy outlining the overall approach to testing the software application, encompassing objectives, scope, test levels, test techniques, and resources required for the testing process.
  2. Create a detailed test plan outlining test objectives, schedule, deliverables, test environment setup, and resource allocation.
  3. Manage the test team by assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress, providing guidance, support, and training to team members.
  4. Design test scenarios and cases in collaboration with the test team to cover all possible functionalities and requirements of the software application.
  5. Review test artifacts such as test cases, test scripts, and test data to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to the test strategy and plan.
  6. Oversee the execution of test cases, ensuring the testing process follows the test plan and addresses issues promptly.
  7. Consolidate and analyze findings, preparing comprehensive test reports highlighting defects, their severity, and the overall quality of the software application.
  8. Track and manage defects using a defect tracking system, liaising with developers to resolve defects promptly.
  9. Evaluate and improve the testing process, assessing its effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a Software Tester (Functional and Automation) or similar role with in-depth knowledge.
  • Experience with Data Setup for Test Execution.
  • Knowledge of Agile principles and release cycles.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Playwright/Cypress and Selenium.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
