Job Description:

The Oracle DBA will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle databases. This includes installation, configuration, backup, performance tuning, and ensuring the security and availability of the database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance.
  • Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies (RMAN, Data pump).
  • Ensure database security and compliance with security policies.
  • Perform database patching, version upgrades, and apply security fixes.
  • Set up and manage high-availability solutions (RAC, Data Guard).
  • Collaborate with developers and system administrators for troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripting or other automation tools.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
  • Expertise in Oracle 11g/12c/19c, RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
  • Strong SQL query optimization and database tuning skills.
  • Oracle DBA certification (OCA/OCP) preferred.
