Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chief Engineer in the day-to-day management of the engineering department and oversee the preventive maintenance of all equipment.
  • Take charge of the engineering department in the absence of the Chief Engineer and assume all responsibilities and authority.
  • Provide training and coaching to engineers and staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and record utility consumption and assist the Chief Engineer to maintain efficiency.
  • Ensure the correct maintenance of all equipment in conjunction with other user departments.
  • Stay up-to-date with technological advances in surveillance and safety of equipment.
  • Ensure that operational problems are promptly brought to the attention of the Technical Supervisor.
  • Inspect the working condition of equipment and engineering systems at regular intervals and ensure that all standards are maintained.
  • Perform any other job or duties assigned by management as and when required.
Prerequisites
  • General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and other trades.
  • Proficient in Windows, PMS, and MS Office applications.
  • Good knowledge of fire and life safety processes and procedures.
  • Excellent command of the English language (oral and written).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical or electrical services.
  • Able to train, coach, and develop team members.
