Engineering Manager Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our software development teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud-based products, agile project management, and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead high-performing engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.
  • Implement and optimize agile project management processes to drive operational excellence.
  • Mentor team members on technical contributions, product architecture, and career development.
  • Ensure delivery of maintainable, observable, and performant software.
  • Drive operational excellence through best practices, processes, and tools.
  • Provide clear communication and full project visibility to all stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of software industry experience, including recent work on cloud-based products.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience, overseeing software releases, processes, and team management.
  • Proven track record in conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback.
  • Experience with multi-tenant applications on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in microservices development using Java or .NET stacks.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, APIs, load balancing, caching).
  • Familiarity with message brokers (e.g., Apache Kafka, Pulsar).
