Job Summary

  • This role focuses on the design, configuration, and implementation of HVAC Controls and Electrical SCADA systems in data centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking an experienced professional to develop project scope of work, schedule, budget, and level of efforts (LOE) for BMS and power management projects requested by customers and stakeholders.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing scope, schedule, finance, and execution of BMS improvement projects in data centers.
  • They will also assist in procurement activities including request for quotation/proposals, responding to request for information, review of vendors proposal and issuance of purchase orders.
  • Supporting commissioning activities for controls projects in data centers is another key responsibility.
  • The ideal candidate will conduct engineering analysis and research designs and methods of data center equipment and facilities.
  • Ensuring that designs and installations meet requirements is crucial, such as predicted cooling, structural, operational concerns, etc.
  • Developing data center vulnerability remediation playbooks for control system designs in conjunction with IT teams is a critical aspect of this role.

Candidate Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • Excellent understanding of industry-standard electrical and mechanical systems used in data centers, as well as controls/monitoring systems is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in designing, configuring, programming, installing, troubleshooting or servicing HVAC Controls and Electrical SCADA systems application specific controllers, Building Management System (BMS) Controls software and networks.
  • Proficiency in developing and modifying controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces is necessary.
  • The successful candidate will manage multiple stakeholder deliverables, requirements, and navigate challenging situations.
  • Project coordination experience with multiple teams or vendors to meet project requirements for data centers is crucial.
  • TCP/IP, MQTT, BACnet and/or MODBUS communication protocol experience is highly desirable.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software is essential.
