Business Development Manager

Focused on driving change in the education sector, we are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to lead partnerships and ensure long-term success with strategic educational institutions.
As a key member of our team at PW (PhysicsWallah), you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and managing partnerships with leading education institutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent relationship-building skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to secure new business.
Key Responsibilities:
- B2B Sales and Partnership Development:
- IDentify and prospect potential key education institutions across categories such as test prep centers, higher education colleges, skilling institutions, and schools
- Lead negotiations, presentations, and closing of partnership agreements
- Develop tailored proposals and solutions aligning with institution needs and FinZ offerings
- Drive sales process from lead generation to partnership closure
- Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as primary point of contact for institutions
- Maintain and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers
- Act as trusted advisor, providing ongoing support and guidance
- Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews to ensure client satisfaction
- Account Growth and Retention:
- Monitor account health, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Ensure clients derive maximum value from partnerships
- Stay abreast of changes in education sector, leveraging knowledge to recommend new solutions
- E nsure contract renewals and long-term client retention
- Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and customer success teams
- Provide feedback to improve FinZ offerings and address institutional pain points
- Reporting and Metrics:
- Maintain records of client interactions, sales activities, and partnership statuses within CRM system
- Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance, account health, and growth metrics
- Analyze data to track performance, identify trends, and forecast growth areas
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years B2B sales experience, preferably in education, technology, or financial sectors
- Proven track record in building successful partnerships and closing complex deals
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Able to understand and analyze client needs
- Strategic thinker with solution-oriented mindset
- Excellent relationship-building skills and customer-centric approach
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related field
- MBA or similar advanced qualification is a plus
