Job Description:
At Biocon Biologics, we are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Professional - Ethics & Governance Lead to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in driving the implementation of Ethics Compliance initiatives across the organization, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in Ethics and Compliance, who can lead the development and review of policies and codes, as well as manage statutory compliance management tools and systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping, and be able to analyze complex regulations and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Ethics Compliance initiatives across the organization, including the creation and review of policies and codes.
  • Manage statutory compliance management tools and systems, identifying and mapping applicable laws to business stakeholders.
  • Provide periodic reports to cross-functional teams on pending statutory compliance requirements and ensure timely completion of tasks by stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular compliance checks and audits, discussing findings and deciding on process improvements.
  • Monitor process improvements to ensure proper controls are implemented and keep abreast of regulatory developments and best practices.
  • Sanctions advisory and checks, including monitoring global sanctions lists, investigating potential sanctions matches, and conducting due diligence and risk assessments.
  • Support training initiatives and third-party due diligence processes.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A graduate degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent qualification.
  • 2-4 years of PQE in Ethics and Compliance in a leading Pharma/FMCG/Manufacturing/Consulting Company.
  • Proven experience as a compliance professional, with good communication skills, both oral and written, and effective negotiation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations, with excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.
  • An analytical mind able to see complexities of procedures and regulations.

What We Offer:
