The Role

As a Cloud Software Engineer - Application Development, you'll be part of our application engineering team, responsible for converting innovative ideas and proof-of-concepts into robust solutions that ease and protect customers from day-to-day online risks. These features will be built using cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and will be designed to provide scalable, end-to-end solutions using full-stack frameworks like MERN, Django, MEAN.

You'll work closely with the team to design, develop, and deploy applications that meet the needs of diverse products and brands within Gen. Your expertise in developing web applications using Python, Angular, React, MongoDB, Express, Node.js, or other JavaScript frameworks will be invaluable in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing high-quality software applications using full-stack development methodologies
  • Designing and implementing microservices architecture
  • Working with data structures and OOPS principles
  • Analyzing requirements, proposing solution approaches, collaborating with business stakeholders, and designing high-level system requirements
  • Delivering REST-based or web applications using full-stack frameworks
  • Influencing and guiding the team in adopting advanced development methodologies
  • Full-cycle programming using Python, Java, JavaScript
  • Setting up monitoring stacks in cloud platforms
  • Implementing CI/CD pipelines using AWS CI/CD tools
  • Familiarity with infrastructure operations and automation tools like Terraform, Puppet
Requirements
  • At least 6-9 years of experience in full-stack development of web applications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in developing solutions using AWS managed services and container runtimes (GCP exposure is a plus)
  • Suggestive design patterns, microservices, and data structures
  • Good understanding of DB concepts, particularly MongoDB, DynamoDB, Aurora
  • Prior experience with large-scale web design supporting high-volume data
  • Expertise in delivering web/REST API-based solutions using single-page architecture
  • Strong knowledge of service capacity planning strategies
  • Delivery using Agile/Scrum model
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
