About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Lead Auditor to join our team at BNY. As a key member of our Financial Crimes division, you will play a critical role in delivering complex audit assignments and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality audit assignments with minimal supervision
  • Develop and implement effective audit plans, considering complex business processes and decisions
  • Identify meaningful issues impacting business operations and challenge management to develop appropriate remedial action
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders and prepare draft audit reports
  • Follow-up on audit actions and test their implementation
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders and contribute to Continuous Monitoring
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions related processes, preferably in Financial Crime Audit
  • Knowledge of US laws, rules, and regulations such as Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA Patriot Act, and OFAC
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including working with stakeholders
  • Relevant experience working in financial services or banking, within Third Line Internal Audit or Second Line Risk or Compliance Monitoring
  • Proven track record in leading and delivering risk-based projects
  • Good understanding of audit methodologies and Financial Crime regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with excellent planning, co-ordination, organisation, and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, including remote collaboration
