This position is an exciting opportunity to join Piramal Group, a leading global healthcare company, as a Master Data Governance Specialist.

Job Overview

The Global Business Shared Services (GBSS) Center will deliver various services, including Master Data Management (MDM), F&A, and Supply Chain. As a Master Data Governance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring Master Data records are created, updated, reviewed, and archived according to established standards. Your primary goal will be to use standardized processes to support global operations, processes, and reporting needs.

Experience Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • around 5-8 years of experience in shared services/global business services, Supply Chain or operations and service delivery
  • experience in a Master data management & governance role
  • excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • ensuring master data integrity in key systems & maintaining the processes with quality
  • identifying areas for data quality improvements and helping to resolve data quality problems through error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies
  • conducting data cleaning to rid the system of old, unused data, or duplicate data for better management and quicker access
  • a strong background in the pharmaceutical/FMCG/Manufacturing industry
  • strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence others
  • demonstrated experience with data management practices, data governance concepts, and data management tools
  • passion for managing information as a corporate resource; recognizing the business value of data
  • demonstrated ability to build cross-functional business relationships
  • strong understanding of ERP systems; SAP highly preferred
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • ability to work well with people at various levels and with different cultural backgrounds
Key Roles/Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • ensuring Master Data (material/item/article, vendor, etc.) is created and maintained according to established standards
  • maintaining and updating Materials Master, Bills of Materials, Manufacturing Part Numbers, Inspection setup
  • ensuring Masters are created complying statutory and legal framework
  • ensuring all required information and documents are received from request submitters, per GBE/Region/Country requirements
  • understanding priorities basis customer's requirements and delivering Master data related tasks within set service level agreement
  • identifying and managing projects to improve data standardization, accuracy, and integrity
  • serving as Global Master Data SME and providing support and expertise as required to all sites within the Business
  • continuing the development of data standards, processes, and procedures for various master data domains
  • supporting SAP implementation projects (for non-SAP sites) by representing the MDM function and supporting project teams during data cleansing and migration activities
  • striving to continuously improve processes & systems to deliver the greatest business benefit – challenging the status quo demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset
  • managing Data Quality exception reports
  • working collaboratively with other functions (Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Sales, BD, IT, Manufacturing sites, etc.) to ensure Master Data & Other related issues are resolved and objectives are met
  • process owner for relevant SOPs and their regular updating
