Job Summary

The Financial Reporting Specialist will drive the monthly, quarterly and annual close process. This role will be responsible for custodian of own and lease assets accounting under IND AS and IFRS. The ideal candidate will drive best in class control environment and governance. The Financial Reporting Specialist will drive Balance sheet review process at enterprise level and ensure compliance with Global policies/manual and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute month end close process related to Fixed assets and Leases.
  • Act as a custodian of enterprise level fixed asset/lease assets accounting.
  • Facilitate Business teams on capitalisation issues and ensure robust control on capitalisation.
  • Lead annual fixed asset physical verification process along with shared service team.
  • Work closely with legal team on Title issues and other property litigation.
  • Execute Fixed asset and lease asset schedule for both India and Global reporting.
  • Lead Balance sheet review at enterprise level, drive actionable on slow moving items, track actionable periodically and update the progress to management.
  • Execute quarter and annual audit accounting entries like MSME interest, actuarial etc.
  • Prepare Related party schedule and ensure appropriate disclosure.

Statutory audit and compliance deliverables

  • Plan and drive India entity statutory audit as per local regulations.
  • Co-ordinate with auditor across various legal entities annual audit.
  • Facilitate audit readiness and responses to audit observations.
  • Lead various compliance reporting like MSME, RPT, DPT-3 etc.

Internal control, risk and assurance

  • Work closely with Internal auditor, Governance team and Group team. Work constructively towards addressing issues and gaps identified by Internal auditor/Governance team.
  • Strengthen internal controls and improve processes.
  • Document all processes for reporting like design documents etc

Processes automation and central support

  • Drive automation in reporting vertical- Consolidation tool, SAP HANA implementation
  • Support FP&A and IR team
  • Work closely with Tax team on tax accruals, payment, and ETR reduction
  • Support tax team and secretarial team in compliance matters

Qualification & Experience:

  • Chartered accountant (CA) with 2-4 years of work experience

Must have

  • Prior statutory reporting experience with listed entities
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Experience of dealing with Statutory, Internal and group auditors

Good to have

  • SAP and accounting software implementation experience
  • Exposure of working with and influencing multiple stakeholders
  • Clear communication and attitude to support business and solve complex accounting issues
