Banquet Sales and Service Manager Job Description

At GLOBAL HOTEL REPRESENTATIONS PRIVATE LIMITED, we are seeking a highly skilled and organized Banquet Sales and Service Manager to provide exceptional customer experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating banquet sales and services, ensuring seamless event execution and exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Banquet Sales: Discuss sales contract details with the banquet sales director and the head chef, while planning the venue layout according to the number of guests and the type of event.
  • Service Coordination: Determine the number of table waiters and servers required, and supervise the placement of tables, chairs, cutlery, plates, glasses, table linens, centerpieces, heating lamps, serving utensils, and carving stations.
  • Event Execution: Oversee the seating of guests, the serving of meals and beverages, and the clearing of tables, while managing the availability of liquor and soft drinks when required.
  • Documentation and Scheduling: Prepare work schedules and complete documentation in a timely manner.
  • Customer Service: Answer customers' questions and accommodate special requests, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Education: Accredited certificate or diploma in catering, culinary arts, hospitality, or similar, with a bachelor's degree in hospitality and culinary arts preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in banquet management or similar, with proficiency in catering management software, such as Better Cater and Caterease.
  • Skills: Exceptional ability to plan banquets, manage budgets, and meet deadlines, with extensive knowledge of catering equipment and venue requirements.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with Banquet Sales Directors and Head Chefs.
