About Your Role
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing overall growth strategies for the defined region and segment in consultation with the commercial lead. You will implement internal and external activities to maximize share and sustainable business growth, in line with agreed targets. Your goal will be to maximize customer satisfaction and create a differentiated brand value for the relevant segment.
Sales Management & Business Development
- You are expected to meet or exceed sales targets for revenue and profitability, customer-wise and product-wise, as per the yearly, quarterly, and monthly plan.
- You will manage and track primary and secondary sales customers, and work towards achieving the targeted growth across all customers.
- You should work on maximizing market share and account share by driving targeted share gain targets.
- You will work with converters and end-users to create a healthy opportunity pipeline to meet the targeted business growth.
- You will work with prospective customers to identify unmet needs, and implement initiatives to meet those needs.
Key Responsibilities
- You will establish and maintain a deeper connection with the Railways business value chain, including RDSO, Railway Board, Coach Factories, Locomotives, and workshops, along with converters, and manage effectively with a key account management approach.
- You will establish an appropriate and optimized converter network to drive Railways business.
- You will ensure right engagement with all key decision-makers at cross-functional departments of the Railways ecosystem.
- You must generate and bring up an individual PU's/workshop/zone-wise project pipeline and create an overall healthy funnel with min. 4X of the incremental growth required.
- You will launch and introduce new products and technologies, ensuring specifications for sustainable and long-term growth.
- You will leverage the complete AD portfolio, including Mactac and window films, for share gain and new specifications with PU's/RDSO.
- You should be aware of tenders, bids, and specification preparation and approval processes at Indian Railways, and ensure the right methodical approach to be followed in a complete ethical manner as per working practices of Avery Dennison.
Candidate Requirements
- You should have knowledge of English, Hindi, and regional languages.
- Qualification: Science graduate, Engineering, and MBA will be preferred.
- Work experience of minimum 8 years in dealing with Auto OEM's (4W, 2W, Tractors, Bus & Const. Equipment, etc.) and Railway ecosystem and knowledge of channel/converter management.
- Preferably from printing, inks, tapes, adhesives, abrasives, chemicals, paint/coatings, glass industries.
- You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to keep pace with growth expectations.
- You should have excellent verbal, written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- 50-60% of traveling is required in the region as per business needs.
- You should be passionate about achieving business aspirations and driving aggressive share gain, new business realization, and creating backup plans proactively.
- You should be self-motivated, adaptable, and a self-starter who delivers with zero supervision.
