A multinational transport, freight forwarding and logistics company seeks a highly skilled Logistics Operations IT Specialist - Supply Chain Solutions
Responsibilities- Supply Chain Solutions Design: Assess and design critical monitoring and self-healing processes on Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Incident Resolution: Proactively address and resolve root causes of incidents to ensure the stability and reliability of production applications.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other relevant departments to support the delivery of business requirements with standard company warehouse systems solutions and identify solutions for potential gaps.
- IT Solution Reviews: Conduct reviews to maximize coding standardization and reusing existing solutions.
- Automated Testing and Deployments: Implement automated testing and deployments for WMS solution.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve standard warehouse solutions for faster implementation within regional sites and support the creation of further regional and global standard solutions in the logistics space.
- Maintenance and Development: Maintain and develop WMS and surrounding applications with high focus on standardization and code reusability, clear and understandable documentation.
- Mandatory Experience: Mandatory experience with Warehouse management solution (Blue Yonder Dispatcher WMS).
- Databases and SQL: Good knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and PL SQL.
- Infrastructure and Unix/Linux: Knowledge of infrastructure landscapes, proficient in Unix/Linux commands.
- Shell Scripting: Expert in Shell scripting.
- Functional Specifications: Able to understand, formulate, and challenge functional specifications from business.
- Programming Skills: Superior practical application/API design and background in programming skills (C#, Java, or Python).
- API Integration: Proven ability to integrate WMS with external applications using APIs or Web Services.
- System Design and Testing: Demonstrate thoroughness in system design and system testing with minimal supervision.
- Supply Chain Domain and Project Implementation: Experience in the supply chain domain and project implementation.
- Nice to Have:
- Pipeline Scripts: Able to set up and maintain pipeline scripts, such as Jenkins/Groovy.
- Cloud-Native Tools and Microservices: Experience with cloud-native common platform tools and microservices.
- Third-Party SW Providers: General knowledge of working with different 3rd-party SW providers.
