Classification, Labeling, Packaging, and Transportation Regulations Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Classification, Labeling, Packaging, and Transportation Regulations Specialist to join our team at Colgate-Palmolive Company. As a key member of our Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and regulatory compliance of our products, particularly in the areas of transportation and hazardous materials handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee that our product transportation and handling meet international standards.
- Maintain up-to-date information on Dangerous Goods regulations and ensure compliance with global standards.
- Master and apply Dangerous Goods regulations for product transportation.
- Work with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure safe and compliant transportation.
- Assess and classify products in line with global and regional regulations.
- Ensure labeling accuracy and regulatory compliance in safety data sheets.
- Respond to internal and external queries regarding product transportation safety and regulatory information.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a related field such as Environmental Science, Safety Management, Chemistry, Pharma, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Proficient knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance tools.
- Strong understanding of classification and labeling standards and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex regulatory information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the consumer goods industry, particularly with products that require careful transportation and handling.
- Familiarity with Colgate Palmolive's product portfolio and the regulatory landscape affecting our business.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
