Job Title: Team Leader

AccorHotel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our team. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and maintenance staff to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist engineers in planning and executing preventive maintenance of all equipment.
  • Ensure guest requests and complaints are attended to promptly and efficiently.
  • Responsible for effective staff scheduling and job allocation.
  • Ensure employees in the department perform as per organizational standards.
  • Responsible for maintenance of all equipment and work areas as per required standards.
  • Ensure daily work requests from other departments are met promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules, standards, and procedures.
  • Recommend changes in systems and procedures to increase efficiency and improve service levels.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of tools by departmental employees.
  • Ensure timely receiving of materials and spares by regular follow-up with the material department.
  • Maintain good relations and professionalism among all subordinate staff and peers.
  • Communicate, share, and inspire all departmental employees using various formal and informal channels.
  • Maintain cordial relationships with other departments.
  • Coordinate closely with all departments to ensure upkeep of equipment, machinery, and building.
  • Be courteous to all customers.
Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Complete and maintain full records of all activities on shift, including daily logs, rosters, overtime reports, overnight checklists, incident reports, and any other documents as required by the Chief Engineer.
  • Participate in related project teams.
  • Perform all tasks as detailed in the daily task list.
Customer Service:
  • Attend to all guest requests and complaints in a prompt and efficient manner, establishing an amicable relationship with all clients, customers, and guests of the hotel.
  • Have a good relationship with all departments and colleagues.
  • Understand and support, encourage, and help all.

Financial:
  • Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment.
  • Optimize savings in energy expenses by implementing energy conservation programs.
  • Monitor consumption on a daily basis and advise the Director of Engineering.
  • Monitor expenses on a regular basis.
Operational:

Ensure employees in the department perform as per organizational standards.

Responsible for maintenance of all equipment and work areas as per required standards.

  1. Monitor steam production and supervise operations and maintenance of the heating plant.
  2. Maintain the steam and chilled water distribution system from plant to each building.
  3. Direct shifting of boilers as conditions warrant, properly laying up offline boilers.
  4. Direct preparation of chillers and related equipment for start-up and supervise proper lay-up and cleaning of equipment at the end of the season.
  5. Direct water treatment programs for steam and chilled water production and distribution.
  6. Assist engineers in all planning and ensure execution of preventive maintenance of all equipment.
Personnel:

Other Duties:

  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, including air conditioning.
  • Working knowledge of current chemical/asbestos regulations.
  • Good supervisory and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under stressful conditions and time constraints.
  • Must be able to work on call 24 hours a day if emergencies arise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or relevant degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in a similar technical leadership position.
  • Ability to lead by example and passion to support your team.
  • Proficient in working effectively with diverse engineering team members.
  • Strong communication skills, able to build and maintain strong relationships.
