Job Summary

As a SAP FICO Business Analyst at Astellas Pharma Inc., you will play a key role in driving business growth and improvement through the analysis and implementation of SAP solutions. Your expertise in SAP FICO and controlling will enable you to design and configure SAP systems to meet the company's financial and operational needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop technical specifications for SAP solutions. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential in understanding complex business issues and developing effective technical solutions. Additionally, your excellent communication and collaboration skills will enable you to effectively communicate with stakeholders and facilitate meetings to gather feedback and consensus.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, goals, and objectives.
Analyze business processes and workflows to identify improvement opportunities and define requirements for solutions.
Develop technical specifications for SAP solutions that meet both business needs and technical standards.
Work with Digital and software development teams to design solutions that fulfill business requirements.
Participate in the testing of developed solutions to ensure they meet the defined requirements and standards.
Assist in project management tasks, such as planning, scheduling, and tracking progress.
Develop training materials and provide support to users on new systems or applications.
Create and maintain documentation related to business requirements, technical specifications, project plans, and reports.

Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration in Finance.
Good accounting knowledge would be a plus.
Relevant experience in business analysis, technical analysis, or a related area, demonstrating a track record of bridging business needs with technical solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand complex business issues and develop effective technical solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with diverse groups of stakeholders, including business users, Digital professionals, and management.
Good knowledge of Agile methodology, principles, and practices.
5+ years of SAP experience in SAP FICO areas with a proven record of accomplishment as a team member of large and complex SAP business-system transformation programs.
Ability to resolve complex support queries and configure and test all support-related queries in controlling Area CO area strong integration knowledge of other FICO sub-modules along with cross-functional integration knowledge with OTC, SCM, P2P & HR.
Major large, complex high-end SAP implementations; experience in multi-country implementations required.
Broad and deep SAP application and technical knowledge including latest innovations required in Finance area.
Must have had hands-on experience with designing, configuring, and implementing SAP solutions and modules (specifically FICO), covering business processes in finance and controlling.
Must have had experience with implementing one or more of the SAP solutions listed below and should have hands-on prior SAP ECC configuration experience in multiple modules.
ERP -- SAP S4/HANA & SAP ECC is must.
SAP Finance & Controlling - Specific expertise knowledge in CO Module CEA, CCA, IO, COPA, PCA, COPC, Materials ledger with actual costing.
User experience and Mobility -- SAP FIORI.
Administration systems -- SAP Solution Manager, HP ALM & TOSCA.
Application integration technologies -- SAP PO, CPI, External gateway systems.
