Job Summary
DBS Bank is seeking a seasoned Risk Management professional to join our Group Technology and Operations team. As a Vice President, Risk Management, Consumer Banking, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls and identifying risks proactively.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain internal controls effectiveness and identify risks proactively.
• Liaise with Group Audit, Group Legal, and Compliance teams on a regular basis to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
• Manage audits, regulatory examinations, and inspections, and act as an audit focal point for the department.
• Review audit findings, propose action plans, and verify remedial solutions for closure.
• Identify and investigate risks, and work with stakeholders to determine remediation plans.
• Manage and track self-identified, audit, and regulator issues until closure.
• Oversee risk mitigation and information security programs, and work with internal stakeholders to review, identify, and implement process improvements.
• Drive and execute risk assessments, and perform controls testing to ensure their effectiveness.
• Perform data analysis and procedure reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and bank standards.
• Manage departmental Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), risk events, and provide periodic Risk and Control metrics, and escalate emerging or at-risk issues in a timely manner.
• Conduct regular trainings to disseminate policies updates and raise risk awareness.
Requirements
• At least 15+ years of working experience in Risk Management within IT.
• Minimum a degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in IT audit, Cloud Security will be an advantage.
• Strong Risk mindset.
• Good understanding of Secure Software Development Life Cycle, Threat and Vulnerabilities Assessment, Agile Methodology, and IT General Controls.
• Good understanding of technology and operational risks, regulatory requirements.
• Experience with secure coding and knowledge of OWASP will be preferred.
• Good wide knowledge of security domains including encryption and authentication methods, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and security patch management.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and with a positive attitude.
• Willing to learn and take new challenges with an open-mind, and problem-solving attitude.
