Job Overview
The Networking Managed Services Engineer (L2) at NTT DATA plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational stability and efficiency of clients' IT infrastructure and systems. This role involves proactively monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems, while restoring service to clients without breaching service level agreements (SLAs).
Main Responsibilities
Provide managed services to clients, ensuring their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational and efficient
Proactively review client requests or tickets and apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them
Contribute to project work as and when required, focusing on second-line support for incidents and requests with a medium level of complexity
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in architecture, administration, and operations
Deep experience in high availability and disaster recovery methodologies as it applies to data platforms
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work to conclusion
Provide advice and support to development resources and adhere to standing standards, policies, and procedures
Experience with backup and recovery, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
Knowledge of security compliance for databases and exposure to container and Kubernetes is a plus
Education and Certifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing (or demonstrated equivalent work experience)
Moderate level of relevant managed services experience and moderate level knowledge in ticketing tools preferably Service Now
