We are seeking a highly skilled Antimicrobial Research Specialist to join our team.

About the Role
  • This is an exciting opportunity to work with us in the development of new products across categories, especially personal care and surface care brands.
  • You will be responsible for testing and decision-making around substantiating antimicrobial claims for new projects.

In this role, you will provide microbiological support for the development of new products. You will evaluate the antimicrobial efficacy of prototype formulations and finished products using global standards like EN, ASTM and ISO.

To succeed in this role, you will have experience in FMCG or cleaning and hygiene product manufacturing industry with hands-on experience of conducting antimicrobial performance evaluations. Your communication skills will enable you to interact effectively with the global team members.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Support New Product Development teams in substantiating antimicrobial claims for new projects.
  • Plan and conduct experiments to evaluate the antimicrobial efficacy of prototype formulations, finished products as per global and internal standard methods.
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement of R&D laboratory procedures and best practices and recommend minor modifications to existing techniques, processes, systems, or programs.
  • Maintain lab records in compliance with Microbiology Laboratory and Global Quality standards.
  • Liaise with external laboratories in a professional and productive manner to ensure delivery of results on time.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences or related field.
  • Proven experience in FMCG or cleaning and hygiene product manufacturing industry with hands-on experience of conducting antimicrobial performance evaluations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
