About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams. In this role, you will be responsible for conceiving original ideas for new products, introducing them into practice, and conducting feasibility studies, testing on new and modified designs.

Responsibilities

  • Create and modify detailed drawings and drafting or conceptual models from layouts, rough sketches or notes
  • Document and update product specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve technical production issues
  • Support on new product development activities, including concept generation, DFMEA, tolerance stack up, DFM & DFA, and basic FEA activities
  • Work on continuous improvement activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting product development activities
  • Working knowledge with usage of CAD systems (CREO preferred)
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings/product prints
  • Working knowledge in GD&T
  • Working knowledge in manufacturing process (Molding / Stamping / Plating)
  • Fundamental knowledge of product development process/cycle
  • Basic knowledge in tolerance stack-up
  • Basic knowledge on design of plastics & sheet metal components
