Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Lead System Software Engineer to join our team at Copeland. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing software features for our Rosemount Level Measurement Products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture and develop software requirements
  • Prepare software design and architecture for projects
  • Develop high-level and low-level design for assigned projects
  • Liaise with user experience designers for frontend development
  • Participate and contribute to code reviews
  • Develop and unit test applications
  • Collaborate and coordinate with developers, testers, and product owners
  • Focused on continuous improvement of quality-driven software techniques and processes
  • Participate and present in project reviews

Requirements:

  • Technical or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in software design, development, and maintenance
  • Hands-on experience in C++ using MFC/STL, ATL
  • Excellent knowledge in Windows operating systems, Windows Setup, and Network setup
  • Working knowledge of SQL or SQLite database and stored procedures
  • Experience in developing UI and server applications for Microsoft Windows Server
  • Experience in developing setup projects using InstallShield or similar
  • Knowledge to design and develop multi-layer, cross-platform applications using design patterns
  • Must have experience in working with overseas teams in different time zones

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of communication protocol development like OPC DA or UA, COM/DCOM or Modbus
  • Experience in cyber security verification tools, CIS-CAT Pro
  • Experience in developing applications using TCP/IP socket programming, serial communications
  • Experience in Dot Net technology like C#
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for planning and CI/CD environment
