Lead Senior Physical Design Engineer

This position requires a highly skilled and experienced technical leader to oversee the physical design capabilities and infrastructure.

  • Provide strategic direction to engineering teams, ensuring the development of innovative technologies that meet company-wide goals.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee team structure, hiring, performance management, and career development.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with design teams to influence design decisions and ensure successful project execution.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading complex SoC projects and delivering high-quality tapeouts under aggressive schedules. A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement next-generation physical design methodologies, flows, and automation.
  • Navigate and resolve cross-functional conflicts effectively.
  • Manage multiple SoC programs, overseeing synthesis, floorplanning, power grid design, place and route, clock tree synthesis, timing closure, power/signal integrity signoff, and physical verification (DRC/LVS).

Requirements:

  • 18+ years of progressive experience in back-end physical design and verification.
  • Proven ability to lead and scale engineering teams, manage complex projects, and deliver results-oriented solutions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures.
